spawn_mobs

Controls whether mobs spawn naturally in the world. When false, no hostile or passive mobs spawn naturally. Mobs spawned via /summon or spawn eggs are unaffected.

Enable spawn_mobs

Mobs spawn naturally based on light level, biome, and time (default behavior).

Bedrock uses domobspawning (all-lowercase, no separators).

Disable spawn_mobs

No natural mob spawning. The world will gradually empty of mobs as existing ones despawn. Spawners and /summon still work.

Default: true. Restore with /gamerule spawn_mobs true
